Determining Goals and Needs

The first step of rightsizing is determining your living goals and needs. How does your current residence support the way that you wish to live? How would your living situation need to change for you to align your lifestyle with these values?

Here are some questions that can help to start this evaluation:

Would I like to increase my social network of friends?

Do I have easy access to quality heathcare if I need it?

Are my current living expenses predictable and affordable?

Is my home conveniently located to interests and hobbies that I enjoy?

Do I live close enough to family and friends that I visit frequently?

Do I enjoy travelling? Should I consider a vacation or 2nd home?

Work with the escrow company to ensure all needed documents are in order and completed in a timely manner.

Provide ongoing support and services even after you’ve moved into your new home.
